Project Life Style Scrapbook Pages

These pages are from June. My husband had been to Canada for a couple of weeks for work, and Bonnie & I were so excited when he got home late Friday night. On Saturday we did our usual getting in the truck to run errands and play around town a little. (Everyone needs a break getting out of the house especially Bonnie & I since we are mostly home all week.)

I had recently stopped wearing my VivoFit and decided to replace it with a cheap watch. I bought the cheapest watch Target had, and I love it. Blue band and all! I used a photo of it (in front of my Cricut Explore Air) to create a Filler Card to specify which week these photos were from. (Since this time, Tom has bought me an Apple watch, but hey, Bonnie is enjoying this blue watch now.)

The green filler card background is from the PL Jade collection.
  • The background stamp is from Pretty Cute Stamps "Currently" stamp set & SVG outline cut.
  • Dates were stamped
  • Week was written with my Cricut Explore using the writing feature and a Cricut blue metallic pen in the machine (love this feature!)
This filler card was fun to make!  Here are the full 2 page layouts for Week 23....

Thanks for stopping by!

Back in North

Happy Monday!

Well, we did it.
We are back in our house in North.
The move was successful.

I'm very thankful Jimmy (our son) was there to help Tom with the heavy stuff, because I pulled my back and that put a stop to lifting for me.

It's good to be home. The lake was amazing, but there were issues that made us decide it was not worth staying there. We haven't decided yet if we want to settle down here (like we could ever settle in one place) or start planning where to next.

I'm happy to report that most everything is unpacked and put away. Not everything, but most everything. I just got my computer and desk arranged in my craft room this morning and hooked up. I still need to hook up Precious (aka my Silhouette Cameo), and get my Cricut Explore Air hooked up, and the printer. But that shouldn't take long at all.

Bonnie (our special needs daughter) loves being back. She kept asking over and over last week if we were going to move her Princess Bed. We kept telling her of course. So that was the very first furniture we arranged and got her bed put together before we did anything else. She loves her room.

Our other babies, Mary Ann & Ginger, our Pit Bulls, are also happy to be back home. They love our shaggy rug we had left here and are loving the big back yard again. They sound like wild horses doing laps around the yard. Mary Ann has already started doing her "sky patrol" again back there. We call it that because she walks and runs around the backyard looking up at the sky and most of the time barking at it. We've been told she sees them coming. Whoever them are. LOL

I can't wait to get some crafting done today!
And catch up on everything I've been too busy to get done.

Thanks for visiting with me today.
I'll be back later with something crafty.

PDE Linky Party - Anything Goes

Hey! What's up? Today starts a brand new linky party at PDE Linky Party and the theme is Anything Goes. That's right! Anything you create works: cooking, decorations, scrapbooking, card making, crochet, paper mache.... anything!

I've got most of my crafty goodness packed up, but was able to pull out a print and cut bicycle to make a card for today.

  • Print and Cut bicycle from Silhouette store
  • Fiskars grass border punch - layered, inked and adhered with pop dots for dimension
  • Fence with pink shadow from Silhouette store
  • Sunshine & shadow from Cricut Doodlecharms (love this sun) - with some added sequin flowers
  • Cardz TV Stamps for sentiment on inside

 Thanks for stopping by!

Weight Watchers Wednesday

If you'd like to join me in Weight Watchers, please use this link.

It's that time of the week again where we take a break from crafting posts and focus on our journey with Weight Watchers.  How did it go for you last week?  I'd love to hear some of your success stories in the comments below.

We have been driving back and forth from the Lake House to the house in North trying to take a load now and then to make our move back a little less stressful. We've gotten a lot of the little things moved, and some of the furniture, but the big stuff like dressers, beds, TVs, etc will happen with the UHaul on Friday. I'm saying all of that because the going up and down the stairs, carrying boxes, and such is helping me burn some extra calories. Which is nice. So I had a good weigh-in last Friday.

-1.8 for the week for a total of -35.4! YAY!

But this week, I'm already having to work my but off. Friday was my weigh-in day and for some reason when I got on the scale Saturday morning, I had gained a whole pound! WHAT?! How is that even possible in one day? Then Saturday I had a nasty migraine, took a migraine pill, and of course, was trying to fight the pain by eating everything in the kitchen. Sunday morning, migraine gone (after going to bed at 6pm and sleeping for 12 hours) and the scale said another 0.8 gain. Oh my gosh. So I am fighting trying to just get back to what my weigh in was on Friday, not even considering hoping to lose something this week for my next weigh-in. Wish me luck. Say a prayer for me. I have no idea what's going on with my body.

It's all good though. Whatever my weigh-in day says day after tomorrow, I will deal with it. Sometimes we have weeks like this. It's not going to stop me from trying and staying on task. I have come so far!  I don't want you to give up either! Keep on keeping on. We can do this.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today, and leaving me encouraging comments. To all of you who have used my link to join me in Weight Watchers, THANK YOU! I love getting that email that someone has joined me in my journey. It doesn't say who you are, so I have no idea. Weight Watchers protects your privacy.

I'll see you guys next Wednesday. Right here. If you ever want to go to my very first post and read my journey from the beginning, just click on the Weight Watchers tab at the top of my blog and scroll down and page over until you come to the first post. They always list the most current post first, so you'll have to navigate your way backwards to start from the beginning.

Smiles & Hugs. Enjoy the rest of your week,
:) Janis

PDE Linky Party - Sweet Treats

Happy Friday! Are you ready for a new linky party theme over at PDE Linky Party?! This week it's SWEET TREATS!

  • Sil ID# 63928 - ice cream cone shaped card
  • I cut out the shape again in a smaller size to use for a writing space on the inside of the card
  • Hearts added from a cutout of another cut file where it used a heart window. I couldn't throw these tiny hears away. They were too cute.
  • Cardz TV Stamps - Sugar Rush
Thanks for stopping by! See you next time.
